Eco Friendly Tips for July 4th

July 03, 2018

Here are some eco-friendly tips to keep in mind when planning your Fourth of July celebration!

5 Tips on How to be Eco-friendly this 4th of July

1. Enough of the disposable party ware: Leave the disposable cups, plates, and utensils and bring the reusable ones! Try investing in a vinyl reusable tablecloth instead of the plastic one that is thrown away after one use.

2. Get outside: Get some fresh air this 4th of July and save electricity. Turn off the lights and AC while you spend the holiday outside!

3. Propane grilling: Instead of charcoal grills, switch to propane. It is more efficient and better for the environment.

4. Red, white, blue and green: What better way to enjoy and protect our nation this 4th of July than to wear 100% recyclable shoes? Third Oak is made in the USA, cruelty free and eco-friendly. They will provide you with comfort and durability for all of your 4th of July activities!

5: Greener fireworks: The most eco-friendly tip to give is not set fireworks off at all. They produce a lot of waste and are extremely disruptive to not only family pets, but wildlife as well. However, as fireworks are a 4th of July tradition I understand that this can be difficult to avoid. Instead, make sure your fireworks are enriched with nitrogen which produces less smoke in the environment.
